Ford Philippines is ending the year on a high note as it received awards for the Next-Generation Ford Territory and its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs from prestigious media-led award-giving bodies.
The Next-Gen Territory was named Best Compact Crossover in the 19th Annual C! Awards by C! Magazine. According to C! Magazine, the Next-Gen Territory âhas evolved exponentially to become a properly refined and matured compact crossover.â
The Ford Territory has remained one of the most successful Ford vehicles sold in the Philippines. In October, the Next-Gen Territory has sold over 5,000 units five months after its launch in April. This brought Ford Territoryâs overall sales to over 25,000 units since its launch in August 2020, a testament to its sustained popularity and appeal among first-time car buyers, young professionals, and small families who are looking for a smart, safe and stylish SUV.
Platinum Awards for social responsibility
Aside from great vehicles, Ford also prides itself with a strong lineup of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs that impact the lives of many beneficiaries and communities.
Fordâs Operation Better World (Building Healthy Communities) and Auto Mechanic Scholarship Program received Platinum Awards under the Community Development and Education and Training categories, respectively, in the 6th Driven to Serve Awards by the Society of Philippine Motoring Journalists (SPMJ). The Driven to Serve Awards honors automotive companies and their commitment to make a difference in the communities they serve through various CSR programs. Ford Philippines has been a consistent award recipient for the past six years.
Building Healthy Communities is a health-focused program promoting self-sufficiency and increased health awareness through neighborhood educational programs, basic health services, and medical and dental services to partner communities.
Meanwhile, since 2016, Fordâs Auto Mechanic Scholarship Program has supported over 130 students who completed the 15-month automotive technician program at the Don Bosco Technical Institute-Technical Vocational and Education and Training (TVET) Center in Makati City. Thirty scholars are expected to graduate in 2023, with over 70% of the graduates now employed.
âWe thank C! Magazine and the SPMJ for recognizing our vehicles and CSR programs and the impact they continue to make to our customers and communities. We are inspired to deliver value to our stakeholders in the many years to come,â said Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines.
