vivo achieves 11.7% YoY market share growth

In the Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker report released by market intelligence firm International Data Corporation’s (IDC) on February 21, 2024, vivo stood out with impressive year-on-year (YoY) market share growth in the Philippines.

Global smartphone brand, vivo, increased its market share from 10.5 percent in 2022 to 11.3 percent in 2023. The data proves that vivo’s position in the market has been strong, thanks to its nonstop pursuit of innovation.

vivo has been steadfast in its efforts to provide Filipinos with premium yet innovative phones with the best imaging capabilities. This commitment is evident in its latest offerings in the V and Y series.

Launched in September 2023, the vivo V29 Series is the latest in vivo’s V Series. Its flagship device in the series, vivo V29 5G, boasts a 50MP OIS ultra-sensing camera that generates DSLR-level portrait images.

Meanwhile, one of the innovative features of the vivo V29 Series is the exclusive Aura Light 2.0. The feature provides smart lighting, similar to a ring light, for well-illuminated portraits. In real-life settings, ideal lighting isn’t always readily available, and low-light conditions are the norm. The vivo V29 Series not only harnesses ambient light but also creates the perfect light source.

In its Y Series, vivo launched the Y36 featuring a 50MP Super Night Algorithm in July 2023. In low-light or nighttime environments, vivo’s Super Night Algorithm enhances the brightness, vividness, and clarity of photos, eliminating blur and noise to achieve better imaging results in nighttime photography.

Aside from the Y36, vivo also offers more budget-friendly Y Series phones with great cameras that contributed to the growth of the brand’s market share in 2023.
