The all new Realme 5i with quad camera will be officially launched in the Philippines this coming January 29th 2020, just one week after the announcement of the Realme Buds Air which draw a lot of attention from our friends and fans across the country.
This new budget phone which got released in Vietnam earlier this month, is expected to hit the shelves at around the same price range as the Realme 5. Which means its going to be another awesome budget phone to watchout for.
The Realme 5i has a the exact camera specs with that of the Realme 5, the only difference is the 8MP front shooter. As for the quad camera setup at the back, there stands the 12MP Main camera, 8MP Ultra wide lens, 2MP Macro Lens and 2MP depth (bokeh) sensor.
On the camera app, the Realme 5i sports the Nightscape mode which is present in most Realme phones, to enhance the photo in low light scenes. This mode can be used both in ultra-wide and primary lens usage.
As expected from the latest model from Realme, taking shots under good lighting conditions is exceptionally good. Tho some details are not really as sharp as the ones taken from higher models like the Realme XT, but this is to be expected from a low price point budget phone. The photos taken are pretty decent but just dont expect this phone to perform like those Realme phones from the higher end market of course.
Low light photos taken on the Realme 5i is quite blurry and grainy at some point, that’s when the Nightscape mode should be put to good use, of course with great features, comes great usage. Be sure to remember to enable the Nightscape in low light condition to be able to snap those better low light shot that are IG worthy.
The Macro shots are somehow not that clear, we tried to get as near to the object as we can using the macro lens, but it tends to blur up a bit. But after software updates, its possible to get better.
Food shot is definitely a A+ when you turn on the AI, it tends to make the subject more delicious. Check this out.
Aha! Everybody’s favorite, the selfie camera. This front shooter has several beautify function to well, bring out the best in you, even without makeups.
To wrap it up, the Realme 5i is deemed to be a solid phone with above average camera performance for its price. That’s all I can say for the moment, the full review will be out pretty soon, promise!
