One major hurdles of content creators is the perfect audio, lets face it, no matter how good your video is, as long as your audience cant understand the audio, its good as empty message delivered.
Another problem is that most of the wired versions, be it mic or lapels, it seldomly works on a smartphone. Thus making it quite frustrating for on the go, unscripted, impromptu, sudden video recording like mine quite a drag.
When the Smartmike+ was being advertised on Kickstarter, I was quite skeptical to pledge as it looks too good to be true. It was sure my problem that audio is such a headache for me, especially on noisy backgrounds. But after reading their invention, I was quite intrigued and pledged for 2 units in case I need to interview someone on my vlogs.
Now on my hand, here are whats in the box
With everything on hand now, its best of course to try out recording some audio. Connecting to the phone was a breeze using Bluetooth Technology of course.
With an embedded intelligent algorithm SmartMike+ is always prepared to record optimum acoustics by reducing sounds like wind or background noise such as people chatting.
Multiple approaches for Noise Reduction:
- Multi-level noise reduction embedded algorithm control by the SmartMike+ app.
- Windshield for outdoor usage in case of strengthening or actual strong winds/gusts.
- An unidirectional microphone is preferable when louder background noise and interference is present.
The device is very very small, just only 14Grams in weight, you can carry it everywhere you go!
Mounting on my collar was easy, tho I can mount in anywhere I want as long as I can clip in on.
This is used for playback purpose to listen to my recordings
