Global consumer electronics brand TCL Electronics celebrated a major milestone in the Philippines after taking home four prestigious awards at the Anvil Awards, one of the country’s most respected recognitions for public relations and communications excellence.
The awards were presented during the 61st Anvil Awards Gabi ng Parangal, held on January 28 at Solaire Resort North in Quezon City. Organized annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, the program honors outstanding campaigns, communication tools, and initiatives that demonstrate creativity, strategic insight, and measurable impact.
For TCL, the recognition marks its first-ever Anvil wins, officially placing the brand among the country’s top communicators and highlighting its strengths in marketing, press relations, and technology-driven initiatives.
Four Award-Winning Campaigns
TCL’s achievements reflect the brand’s ability to combine innovation, social responsibility, and strategic communication.
The TCL–TESDA Air Conditioning Training Program earned both Gold and Silver Anvil Awards under the categories of Good Governance and Government Relations. Meanwhile, the TCL Olympic Basketball Project received a Silver Anvil for Corporate Social Responsibility, and the TCL FreshIN 3.0 Campaign won Silver in Marketing and Brand Communication.
“We are beyond honored to be recognized by the PRSP. Bringing home not just one but four Anvil awards is a monumental achievement for us,” said TCL Philippines Brand Manager Joseph Cernitchez.
“These awards inspire us to continue pushing boundaries, innovate boldly, and create initiatives that deliver meaningful impact to our customers and communities.”
Empowering Skills Through the TCL–TESDA Training Center
Leading TCL’s recognition is the Gold Anvil Award for the TCL–TESDA Training Center, a program that blends corporate responsibility with industry leadership.
Developed in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the training facility provides students with hands-on learning in modern air-conditioning and climate control technologies. The center also offers mentorship from TCL experts and introduces a structured “enrollment-to-employment” pathway, helping graduates transition directly into professional roles within the company’s service network.
By addressing the skills gap in the HVAC industry, the initiative not only prepares future technicians but also contributes to workforce development in the Philippines.
Inspiring Young Athletes Through Basketball
TCL also received a Silver Anvil Award for the TCL Basketball Camp, a youth development program designed to empower aspiring athletes.
Held in Manila, the basketball initiative provided training opportunities for young players to sharpen their skills and pursue their passion for the sport. The program attracted attention across technology, education, and sports media, reinforcing TCL’s commitment to nurturing Filipino youth while promoting its “Inspire Greatness” mission.
FreshIN 3.0 Campaign Strengthens Brand Connection
Another standout initiative was the FreshIN 3.0 Campaign, which won Silver in Marketing and Brand Communication.
The campaign showcased TCL’s consumer-centric approach by combining experiential marketing with multi-channel outreach. A highlight of the initiative was the TCL Cool Truck, a mobile experience that brought the cooling technology of the FreshIN 3.0 air conditioner to busy public locations.
Through this interactive approach, TCL transformed traditional product promotion into a public experience—strengthening engagement while reinforcing its reputation for innovation.
A Growing Presence in the Philippines
The Anvil Awards mark an important moment in TCL’s journey in the Philippines, reflecting the brand’s ability to merge advanced technology with meaningful storytelling and community-driven initiatives.
Under the leadership of TCL Philippines CEO Peter Chen, the company continues to pursue a strategy focused on technical leadership, brand growth, and stronger industry collaboration.
Looking ahead, TCL plans to introduce more initiatives aimed at enhancing consumer experiences while staying true to its mission: Inspire Greatness.
With its first Anvil wins now secured, TCL Philippines is positioning itself not only as a technology leader but also as a brand committed to innovation, community development, and impactful communication.
